SlimAim (orlistat) is an over-the-counter medication used to help people lose weight. Studies have shown that SlimAim can help people lose more weight than dieting alone. The weight loss drug targets overweight adults aged 18 and older who follow a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet.

SlimAim belongs to a class of drugs called lipase inhibitors. It blocks the intestines from absorbing about 25% of the fat that you eat. SlimAim helps reduce the amount of a particularly dangerous type of belly fat called visceral fat, which has been linked to type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

LEGAL STATUS:

On 23^rd January 2006, a U.S. Food & Drug Administration advisory panel voted 11 to 3 to recommend the approval of an OTC formulation of orlistat. The U.S. government granted approval on 07th February 2007, officially sanctioning Orlistat as the first weight loss drug for over-the-counter use. On 21^st January 2009, the European Medicines Agency approved the sale of orlistat without a prescription

COMPOSITION:

Orlistat Pellets 50% equivalent to Orlistat……120mg

DIRECTION FOR USE:

The recommended dose of SlimAim in obesity is 120mg capsules with each main meal (during or up to one hour after the meal)
